Terms of sale, use and refunds for tickets and serial cards

Terms of sale 

DocPoint reserves the right to make necessary changes to festival events .If there are any changes to festival events, we will contact ticket holders by email. DocPoint festivalgoers are expected to comply with our safer space guidelines.

Ticket refunds

Tickets purchased for DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival 2026 are non-refundable. Additionally, tickets redeemed with a serial card, complimentary ticket or festival pass are non-refundable. 

In case there is a cancellation of a screening due to e.g. technical difficulties, screening tickets will primarily be refunded with a complimentary ticket. Tickets redeemed with a serial card will be automatically refunded onto the card.

DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival reserves the right to possible programme changes. Information about changes will be announced on docpointfestival.fi/en.

Terms of use and refunds for serial card

Serial cards are valid for the 2026 DocPoint – Helsinki Documentary Film Festival. Purchased serial cards cannot be returned nor will they be refunded. Any remaining tickets on the serial card will not be refunded.

You cannot enter a screening with only a serial card, instead you need to redeem a screening ticket. With a serial card, you can redeem screening tickets from the online store and at ticket sales points during the festival. Please redeem your screening tickets with the serial card before the start of the screening. You cannot redeem tickets to sold-out, free screenings or special screenings with a serial card.

Serial cards are not personal and can be shared with other people. Discounted serial cards can be shared among people who belong to a discount group. You are not required to redeem all tickets on the serial card at once.

Exception: Serial cards/screening tickets purchased with a culture benefit are personal. In case you have bought your serial card with a culture benefit, you can redeem screening tickets only for yourself and the serial card cannot be shared with other people. Please be prepared to prove your identity when buying a serial card with a culture benefit and upon arrival to the screening. If misuse is detected the screening ticket will be cancelled, the culture benefit will not be refunded and the incident will be reported to the culture benefits service provider. Consequently, the service provider can confiscate the benefit entirely.
